Lowe Village of Mount Prospect 100 South Emerson Street Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 LSM[1[L ~~[1J~&@~ IID& U~ ~ -~ ..;Jc> (0 MINUTES CLOSED SESSION SEPTEMBER 2, 2003 The Closed Session was called to order at 8:26 p.m. by Mayor Farley, in the Central Community Center Conference Room. The purpose of the Closed Session was to discuss Personnel-Collective Bargainins and Litigation. Present were: Trustees Timothy Corcoran, Paul Hoefert, Richard Lohrstorfer, Michaele Skowron, Irvana Wilks and Michael Zadel. Staff present included Village Manager Michael Janonis and Assistant Village Manager David Strahl. Personnel-Collective BaraaininQ Public Works Union Village Manager Janonis provided an update regarding the Public Works negotiations. He stated that the Union and Village are still at impasse over retiree health. He did confirm that the Public Works employees are not allowed to picket any businesses or residences of Trustees. He also stated the Village has responded to a letter from the Union Local President. Police Union Negotiations There have been two meetings but no new movements to date. Fire Union Neqotiations The Union has brought up the issue regarding existing promotional list that was published on August 11 and feels that since the legislation was signed by the Governor on August 5 that the current promotional list is invalid. There are still discussions ongoing regarding possible resolution of this conflict. Litiaation Village Manager Janonis stated that there are several milestones coming up regarding the Cunningham Case and settlement discussions are underway and which are mandatory as part of the Case process.
