Assistant Village Manager David Strahl provided an overview of the status regarding the Firefighter negotiations to date and stated that the majority of items have been tentatively agreed to, however, there are three remaining items, which are anticipated to be forwarded to an Arbitrator for final decision. One of the items that will not be forwarded to the Arbitrator is the wage increase. It is quite typical that both sides do not agree on wage increases and must forward wage decisions to Arbitrators for final determination. No date has been set for the arbitration. He stated that he will continue to update the Board as the process continues and if an Arbitrator's decision is rendered, ; such a decision will need to go before the Village Board for final approval. ~ ~~ /@5 @ l!'::.
