FIELDS .....-- :=.;.;.-~ .-;:- () - 0 ~ Village of Mount Prospect-~ 1 00 South Emerson Street Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 MINUTES EXECUTIVE SESSION JULY 21, 1992 Phone: 708 / 392-6000 Fax: 708 / 392-6022 The Executive Session was called to order at 11:47 p.m., in the second floor Conference Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson Street, for the purpose of discussing Property Acquisition and Litigation. Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley; Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes, Timothy Corcoran, Leo Floros and Irvana Wilks. Absent from the Executive Session was Trustee Paul Hoefert. Also present were Village Manager Michael Janonis, Finance Director Dave Jepson and Planning Director Dave Clements. Property Acquisition Village Manager updated Board members on recent discussions with Norb Huecker regarding the purchase of his property. Staff was in the process of updating its original appraisal and securing information regarding the development potential of Mr. Huecker's property as a stand-alone development. Board direction was given to proceed with further negotiations. Litigation Village Manager updated Board members regarding the recent attempts to settle the Disconnection Suit. A meeting with Addison Court property owners was held on Monday evening, July 20 at which time a draft Settlement Agreement was discussed. Property owners from both Kenneth Drive and Addison Court were present. The Village was J~ represented by Mayor Farley, Trustee Busse and the Village Manager. After extensive ~~ discussions, tentative agreement was reached on some of the items included in the Settlement Agreement, however, several outstanding issues with financial impact to the Village remain to be discussed. Village Manager indicated that staff would be researching cost impact of various proposals and would attempt to set up another . meeting with the property owners in the near future. The Village Board concurred with the recommendation that negotiations continue. The Executive Session was adjourned at 12:20 a.m. after a Motion by Trustee Clowes and Seconded by Trustee Floros.
