PROCLAMA TION
ST. RA YMOND SCHOOL
2009 BLUE RIBBON
SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE
WHEREAS, St. Raymond School serves the educational needs of children in grades
Preschool through 8th grade in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, The Blue Ribbon is the highest designation for both public and private
schools to receive in the area of academic excellence; and the award recognizes that
St. Raymond School students have placed in the top 10% of the nation on nationally
normed tests; and
WHEREAS, St. Raymond School was one (1) of three (3) private schools in the
State of Illinois and one (1) of fifty (50) private schools in the nation to receive the
2009 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award; and
WHEREAS, St. Raymond School's outstanding achievement is the result of caring
teachers, support staff and hardworking students encouraged by supportive families
living in the Mount Prospect community and surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees along with the entire community
congratulate the students, teachers, administrators, staff and families of St. Raymond
School on this outstanding achievement.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Irvana K. Wilks, Mayor of the Village of Mount Prospect,
hereby proclaim St. Raymond School a 2009 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon
School of Excellence.
