Ronn CAZ President Congreve called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M. with the following members present: Bergen Brubl Colfer Ekren Grittaui Teichert Trustee Gritten4 secc~ded by Trustee Colfer, moved the minutes be approved as corrected. APPROVAL OF B~.~S FOR PAYMENT General ll,106.90 · Parking System Revenue 10.90 Motor Fuel Tax 15.00 Bills Fire Equipment F~nd 1964 493.00 Waterworks & Sewerage Fund 2~668.20 $14,294.00 Trustee Grittani, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved the above bills be approved for payment. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Ekren Gritteni Teichert Motion carried. FIRE AND POLICE COMMITTEE Trustee Teichert presented a resolution to cancel all promotiona~ eligible registers for the Fire and Police Departments that Fire & Police are dated prior to February 1, 1963. This provides legal basis Comm. for a more current list. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved for passage of Res. 5-66.' A HESO~UTION TO CANCEL ALE PROMOTIONAL EEIGIBLE REGISTERS FOR THE Fi~E AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS THAT ARE DATED PRIOR TO FEBRUARy 1, 1963 Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Colfer Grittani Teichert Nays: Bruhl Ekren Motion carried. February 1, 1966 rustee Teichert presented a resolution increasing salaries for the Fire Inspector and Fireman Mechanic and moved, seconded by Trustee Grittani, for passage of Res. 6-66: Res. 6-66 Upon roll call: Ayesz Bergen Bruhl Colfer Ekren Grittani Teichert Motion carried. Trustee Teichert gave a report of the POlice and Fire Committee~ recommending that diagonal parking on the East side of Emerson immediately north of Northwest High*ay remain, except that the southernmost stall(immediately adjacent to the Northwest Police & Pire Highway) be removed end no parking at that point be enforced. Comm. re Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved to concur with the Police and Fire Committee. Parking on Northwest Hwy. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ekren Grittani Teichert .Nays: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Congreve Motion defeated. Trustee Colfer, seconded by Trustee Bergen,~ moved that diagonal parking be removed and replaced with parallel parking at the above location. Upon r011 call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Grittani Nays: Ekren Teichert Motion carried. JUDICIARY COMMIi~£,:~: - Trustee Bergen Trustee Bergen gave first reading of an ordinance grauting a Spec. Use special use for swimming pools at 3012-14-20 Busse~ Road and swim pool at requested it be placed on the agenda for a second reading 3012-14-20 next week. Approved. Busse Rd. Trustee Bergen read for second reading ORDINANCE #1134:' ~rd. #1134 N~mber of AN (~DINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.103 OF THE MGJNT PROSPECT Board Meetings MGNICIPAL OODE Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved to amend the above ordinance relating to number ef board meetings to insert the word "written" before the word mnOtice~ in the second line of the ~hird paragraph. Trustee Bergen gave first reading of an ordinance amending Sec. 1 of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance specifying Zoning streets zoning of streets~ alleys, public ways, etc., and requested alleys, etc. it be placed on the agenda next week for second reading. Approved. Trustee Bergen gave first reading of au ordinance amending Sec. ~ of the Mount Prospect zoning ordinance in which newly Annex as R-X annexed property would be annexed as R-X instead of R-1 and requested it be placed on next week's agenda. Approved. OT~R BUSINESS The Board of Local Improvements recsmmends that the Board of $ A for Lonnquist Trustees adopt an ordinance making a special assessment to improve Lc~nquist Boulevard. Trustee Bergen read the recommendation. Trustee Teichert gave first reading of an ordinance creating the special assessment for the improvement of Lonnquist Boulevard and requested it be placed on next week's agenda for second reading. Approved. President Congreve read report of Plan Commission he Ca se 66-3P request by Village of Mount Prospect to change Sec. 4 of the 66-8P bldg. ht. ~oning Ordinance to increase the maximum building height from to 28' 3 floors .~ 24' to 28~ and to limit the number of floors to a maximum of three. Plan Commission recommended approval, subject to clarification of base line. Referred to Building Comnittee. February 1, 1966 resident Congreve read Plan Commission report on Case 66-~P - Case 66-4P request by Village of Mount Prospect to consider an amendment Sec.7 Art 2 to Sec. ?, Art. 2 of the Village Plan to require a m//li~/m amend of 32' width of paving of roadways, measuring back to back of oarbs. It also specified a minimum thickness and topping. Commission recur,ended approval. Ordinance relating to the above to be placed on next week's agenda for a first reading. Plan Co~maission reviewed subdivision plans for Sunset Heights Sunset Hts. We~t West, Colonial Heights llth Addition, Linneman's Addition to Mt. Prospect, on January 21, 1966. Acting Village Manager reported completion bonds have been received from all three. Referred to Judiciary Committee. Au ordinance to clarify distance restrictions in the service Ord. to clarify station section of the Municipal Code was referred to the service station Build/rig Committee for study and reco~nmendation. Municipal Code The Fire Chief requested a resolution to designate certain Fire Lanes drives as fire laues. Matter referred to Fire and Police Committee. Also to be considered along with this request are lanes at Cinema Theatres and Thunderbird Bowling Alley. COMMITTEE MEETINGS Finance - Thurs. Feb. 3, 8:00 P.~. Judiciary Committee - Fri. Feb. h, 8:00 P.M. Trustee Teichert requested removal of the following items from Fire and Police Committee: Traffic signals at Central and Main and diagonal parking on Emerson. Approved.
