Trustee Tei~hert gave the invocation. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETING NOVEMBER 16, 1965 Trustee Colfer, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the minutes of November 16, 1965 be approved as corrected. Trustee Colfer gave first reading of an ordinance setting the duties and powers of the Building Superintendent and requested the Clerk Duties Bldg. The Committee Wedgewood Terr.recommended Wedgewood Terrace request for rezoni~ f~om R-1 to R-X R-1 to R-X be ~eferred to the Plan Commission for public hearing. Trustee Bergen moved, seconded by Trustee Colfer , to concur with the re- commendation. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Ekren Grittani Teichert Motion carried. Judiciary Committee studied Zoning Case 65-30 (Texaco station at 65-30 Texaco Algonquin and Dempster Roads) and reported property was involuntarily R-1 to B-3 = annexed by the Village. Zoning Board of Appeals mecommends granting of rezoning from R-1 to B-3. Judiciary Committee concu~s ~ith Zoning Board of Appeals and requests Village Attorney prepare the necessary ordinance rezoning the property f~om R-1 to B-3. Trustee Bergen moved to concur with Judiciary Com~nittee recommendation. Trustee Colfer seconded. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Ekren Grittani Teichert Motion carried. Algon- Springston B-2 quin Road from B-2 To R-4; Zoning Board recommended appmoval . zo R-4 Judi~ia?y Con~nittee ~ecommendsdenial because the trend in the area seems to be %~swa~d business and to rezone a spur of land would be defeating the purpose. There is a shortage of business property in that particula~ vicinity. Trustee Bergenm~d, seconded by Trustee Colder, to deny the request. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE- Trustee Colfer Second reading of an ordinance to remove trees which have Dutch elm Dutch Elm Disea~ disease has been deferred until other Latin names for'the disease have been included. Repairs will cost about $1,000 so the Acl~BgV~il~gge Edward Manager obtained permission from the Village President to do this work.
