Invocation APPROVAL OF MINUTES Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Bergen, moved the minutes of the regular meeting of September 28, 1965 be approved as submitted. Minutes Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Grittani Teichert Pass: Ekren Motion carried. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Letter from Arthur B. Sachs enclosing petition for annexation of Annex request property located Southeast corner Meier Rd. and Lincoln St. Meier & Lincol referred to Judiciary Committee. APPROVAL OF BILLS General $42,269.06 Parking System Rev. 1,D97.61 Bills Library 1,816.32 Waterworks & Sewer- age fund 5,589.00 Total $50,793.99 Trustee Grittani, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved the above bills be approved for payment. COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN REPORTS BUILDING COMMITTEE - Trustee Colfer Ordinance presented t~o amend Chapter IX B of the Mount Prospect Swim Pool Ord. Building Code relating to swimmihg pools referred after first reading tO Village Attorney for possible revisions to revise definitions as suggested by members of the Building Committee. Ordinance amending the Mount Prospect Building Code to regulate Storage sheds storage sheds referred back-to the BuildingCommittee. FINANCE COMMITTEE - Trustee Grittani Trustee Grxttan~ re d an ordinance to increase the annual license Increase fee fee for cigarette and tobacco dealers for a first reading and the Cigarette $ Clerk was directed To schedule it for a second reading on the Tobacco dealmr~ next agenda. Report of Zoning Board of Appeals Case 65-27 referred to Judiciary 65-27 Committee To be placed on Agenda next week. Case 65-16 - Petitioner: Village of Mount Prospect - Requesting Amend Sec. 30 amendment to Sec. 30 of Zoning Ordinance relative To creation Zone Ord. and membership of Zoning Board. Ju~liciary Committee concurred with Zoning Board recommendationzand Trustee Bergen, seconded by T~ustee TeicherT, moved the Village Attorney be directed to draft an ordinance amending Sec. 30 of the Zoning Ordinance, To be scheduled for a first reading at the next Village Board meeting. Pros-Case 65-17 - Petitioner: Village of Mount Prospect - Requesting pec~ Zone Ord. amendment to.Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect relating to Plan Commission. Judiciary Committee concurred with Zoning Board recommendations. Upon conferring with the Village Attorney, several suggested changes were made. Trustee Bergen, ~- seconded by Trustee Colfer, moved the Village A~o~ney be directed To incorporate Zoning Board of Appeals recommendations in Sec. 33 F and ~hat the Judiciaz-~ Co~mittee recommendations for~changes in - the ordinance be incorporated in the ordinance amending Section 33, and a first reading of the ordinance be scheduled for the next Board meeting. Trustees requested copies of original Sec. 33 and amending Ord- Sec. 33 Amend $~ance be made available for study by them by October 8th. PUBLIC WORKS' COMMITTEE - Trustee Colfer Pub. Wks Comm. Truste~,Co~,~e~'ore94 en ~es~f,~l~a Works Committee held September 22nd with Trustee Teichert and Trustee Ekren also present. All commi-~ee recommendations were unanimous. Parkways on W. Lincoln and E. Evergreen were cared for according To Village Manager and should be dropped from "Mat%ers Pending". Approved. Public Works Committee discussed possibility of purchasing equip- leaf pick up menT which would ~xpedite leaf pick up. However~ the cost appears prohibitive at ~his time. The Public Works Department will continue to search for bet%er methods of leaf pickup. Matter referred To future budget hearings for possible purchase of equipment and prohibiting the burning of leaves within the Village, Requested removal from Committee approved. Bids for 350 :OhS of salt were received and opened at 2:00 P.M. on SepTe~foer 30, 1965 in The Council Chambers.
