Present upon roll call: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Grittani Ekren Roll C all Teichert INVOCATION Trustee Bergen gave the invocation. Invocation APPROVAL OF MINUTES The following corrections were made in the minutes of August 2, 1966: Minutes Pg. 2 - 3rd paragraph starting Mr. Ed Skwarlo should be made to read: "Mr. Ed Skwarlo who is a m ember of the 'Pillar Preservation Committee' requested a delay of 4 to 6 weeks for his committee to meet and work with the Village Safety Engineer, and/or others to study the problem. Request~approved. Pg. 3, 2nd paragr~ph,,"at an approximate price of $100.00" was added. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the minutes be approved as corrected. Trustee Grittani moved, seconded by Trustee Bergen, that the Summary of Cash Receipts and DiSbursements for the month of July be accepted subject to audit. Ord 1166 Amend Chap. 9 Trustee Colfer read Ordinance #1166 for second reading: Art 3 of Municipal AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 ARTICLE 3 Code Signs g OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT Awnings relating to signs and awnings. Ord. re taxes FINANCE COMMITTEE Trustee Grittani read first reading of an ordinance authorizing the levy and collection of taxes for the Corporate and Municipal purposes of the Village of Mount Prospect for the fiscal year ~--~ beginning May 1, 1966 and ending April 30, 1967, and requested it be placed on the agenda for a second r~ading at the next meeting. Ord re taxes Trustee Grittani read first reading of an ordinance providing for the levy of an additional tax for street and bridge purposes for the fiscal year commencing May 1~ 1966, and ending April 30, 1967 for the Village of Mount Prospect.~ Cook County, Illinois~ and ~equested it be placed on,the agenda for a second reading at the next meeting. FIRE AND POLICE COMMITTEE Firedept. Ambulance Trustee Bergen r'~quested that the ambulance purchase for the Fire Department be put back in committee for review. The Village Manager was directed to write Palandech Professional Car Sales and inform them that we ren~t~c~n~,_em%~gq~%u~ehase,.~of a 1963 Cadillac ambulance at this time. Trustee Bergen stated that a Cadillac ambulan ce will be delivered to Elk Grove Fire Protection District. A lease with Elk Grove Fire Protection District was referred to the Village Manager for study. Res. 33-66 ~--~: postin~ speed Trustee Bergen read Resolution #33-66~ limits on Kensington Rd. A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE POSTED MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS PLACED ON KENSINGTON ROAD BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS Trustee Bergen, seconded by Trustee Colfer, moved for passage and approval of Resolution #33-66. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Ekren Grittani Teichert Motion carried. August 30, 1966 UDICIARY COMMITTEE Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved to concur with Annexation of the necommendation of the Judiciary Committee by a 3-0 vote to R. Dahlstrom approve the annexation of the Russell Dahlstrom property on property on Lincoln Avenue. Lincoln Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Ekren Grittani Teichert Motion carried. Trustee Teichert gave first reading of an ordinance annexing a Ord. to annex portion of West Lincoln and 0.715 acres of land commencing at a portion of W. point 540 feet east of the intersection of Lincoln Street and Lincoln- E.of B~sse Road to the Village of Mount Prospect and requested the Lincoln 8 Buss Cl~k to place it on the agenda following proper notification to the Fire District. The Judiciary Committee with a vote of 3-0 concurred with the Plan Pedersen park- Commission regarding Luther & Pedersen parkway at 249 E. Prospect way on E. Pro~ Avenue, Mount Prospect, Illinois. pect Motion made by Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Bergen, to concur with the recommendation of the Plan Commission, and that this matter be referred to Fire and Police Committee. The Judiciary Committee with a vote of 3-0 concurred with the 4th addition t¢ Plan Commission regarding Town WeGo Park and recommended approvalWe Go Park from the Board of Trustees of the plot of subdivision for the 4th addition to Town WeGo Park. Motion made by Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Colfer, to concur with the Judiciary Committee recommendation to approve said plat, subjeht to bonds or other security meeting the approval of the Village Attorney and Manager. Mr. Julian Tuber, 824 Mosley Road, Highland Park, Illinois spoke, asking for prompt action in behalf of the Klein interests. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Colfer, read a Resolution toRes, for vari~ allow a variation at 1024-32 East Northwest Highway. It was ton 1024-32 E. noted that the present building did not conform to the original Kensington Rd. building permit. Trustee Teichert moved to table the Resolution until such time as purposes of non-conformity of use is settled. Trustee Colfer seconded the motion. Trustee Ekren read a report on the meeting with James G. Brophy~ Report of Acoui Sr.) Vice Presiden't in charge of the Municipal Bond Department sition of Sewer at the Chicago Corporation. This meeting was in regard to from Metro- financial aspects of acquiring the Mount Prospect Sewer System from the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Colfer, moved to waive rules to allow a new item not on the agenda to be discussed. Liquor License The Finance Committee discussed the application for liquor license req. from for Blazer Steak House. Trustee Grittani, seconded by Trustee Blazer Steaks Bergen~ asked that'~the Board concur with their meoommendation that no additional liquor license be made available at this time.
