During this time certain Manager revisions were made to be incorporated in the ordinauce to be presented Ordinance at the next regular meeting. The Village Attomey was charged with consideration of the duties of Health Officer. RANDHURST TRAFFIC SURVEY The Village Manager~ was directed to contact Randhurst Corp. and set Randhurst a definite meeting for the next scheduled meeting of the Fire and Traffic Police Committee. A ter~ive date was set for July 10. Survey TWO HOUR PARKING LIMITS 321 W. PROSPECT Since the ~_limited park/rig has proven satisfactor~ to both residents 2 hr. parking and businesses, the Connuittee recommends that the ordinance be revised 321 W. Prospectto permit unlimited parking on Prospect in the designated area. Trustee Kilroy, seconded kY Trustee Rogers, moved to concur with the Fire and Police Commission, directing the Msnager to have an ordiuance prepared, deleting two-hour parking limits at ~21 W. The Western RR Finance Committee is requested to place a $10,000 appropriation in the budget to cover 1/10 of the cost, should the bridge be approved. Skidmore of Dempster Jr. High School, although Dempster Jr. this was the first request for a patrolman for such a~ school, the Hi Patrolman Village M~nager was directed to inform District 59 that we would ~e willing to provide a patrolman. The ManaEer was directed to specify the minimum and max~ charge that would be applicable and they would be. charged with the same procedure as we now have with DistriCt 214. He was Further requested to see that the Vil~%ge be informed as to their budget approval and the starting dates they desired, so proper budget arraugements could be mdc by the Village. PARKWAY PARKING The Village ~uuager was requested to present at the next Fire an~ Police Parkway parking Co~m%Ittee a list of all business establishments that now had parkway parking. T~o ordinances~ were cited: Sun Oil Sanitary #1 - Ordinance 22.201 requires that a building on property abutting Permit a sewer line be connected to that line. The A~lington Heights #1966-460 sanitary sewer is the only sewer line abutting this property. #2 - Ordinance #885 does not preclude connections to existing lines. ACTING VT'rJ,,~E MANAGER Acting Village ~i~us~ee Rogers moved for the appointment of Robert Moore as Acting Manager app,. Village Manager to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. Mongan's resignation. Trustee Kilroy seconded the motion. Trustee Teichert voiced his opposition to the appointment because he felt Mr. Moore did not believe in the separation of administrative and legislative powers. Trustee Rogers, secom~ed by Trustee Lewis~ moved the A~ting Village Manager, Robert Moore, be .ccmpensated for his time as Acting Village Manager at the yearly rate of pay received by the Village Manager at the time of ~ls resignation. Ccmmittee for $200 initial fee for a feasibility study of the trans- CGunittee portation situation in the Northwest suburbs. Trustee Teichert, secomzled by Trustee Colfer, moved the Board allocate the $200 fee requested for the feasibility study of the transportation situation in the Northwest sub~bs. June 2~, 1967 rustee Teichert read a statement regarding the selection of a new Village Manager and a proposed salary of $20,000 with a contract until Salary - May l, 1969, and thereafter on a yearly basis. He also urged New Village expediency in the appointment of a Village Manager. Man sger President Congreve appointed the following conmittee to advertise for a Village Manager and to consider applicants for appointment: Trustee Grittani, Chairman, and Trustees Lewis and Colfer. In reply to Trustee Teichert's statement before the Board, Trustee Lewis vOiced the opinion that it was the duty for the elected officials to direct the Manager administratively from time to time. Trustee Teichert requested Trustee Colfer supply the Board with a copy of the memorandum from Attorney Marlin Smith relative to the Sun Oil permit. Sun Oil Permit Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the Board request the Village Manager to supply a written opinion of Attorney Marlin Smith in which he acted on the Morrison case.
