INVOCATION Trustee Bergen gave the invocation. ROLL CALL ~ese~pon roll call: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Grittani Teichert Congreve Absent: Ekren APPROVAL OF MINDTES OF FEBRUARY 21~ 1967 P4. "Trustee Bergen requested the matter of a further increase'. Under Police & Fire ~emnittee recommendation to accept bid of Michael J. Dalton re-word to state "(A 2% discotmt would be given Minutes if approved at first board meeting after delivery.") Pg. 8 - Building Comnittee meeting March 27; Pg. 9 - "Tuesday~'. February 28 Special Meeting. Trustee Colfer, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the minutes of February 21, 1967 be approved as corrected. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Grittani Teichert Motion carried. Memo from Village Manager concurring with reccrmmendation of Public Works Director regarding power rodding of Hatlen Heights drain tile. National Power Rodding Corp. would test rod the sewer to Hatlen determine if the tile is in good condition at a cost of $300 Heig~hts · per day on a per diem basis. It is the opinion of the Public Works Power Director the work could be completed in a day or two. The Manager Rodding reports there are no fund~ remaining in the budget to cover the cost of this proposed project, nor was the project included in the Transfer Between Accounts reccmmendation. The Transfer Ordinance, when finalized, could include the project, however. Trustee Colfer, seconded by Trustee Teichert, moved that the Manager be directed to engage the services of National Power Rodding Corporation, notto exceed $600.00 for Hatlen Heights sewer. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Bruhl Colfer Grittani Teichert Motion carried. It was reported there is a flooding problem at Robin Lane and Waverly. The Manager was requested to prepare a report and the Clerk place the matter on the agenda for the next meeting. Memo from B. Hammeter, Village Engineer, recommends that the plans for the proposed well, pump house, reservoir and mains be prepared by the Village's consulting engineers, for construction Well #11 of Well #11. An accompanying memorandum from the Village Manager states he withholds any recommendation regarding engineering until the matter is discussed before the Board. Whether there would be any advantage in having the Village staff share in the engineering would depend on the outcome of the meeting with Consoer, Townsend and Associates. February 28, 1967 The well would be $20,000 less than quoted on the original report. Daily inspection and design work could be done by the Village Engineer under direction of Consoer, Townsend and Associates. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Colfer~ moved the Village Attorney review with Consoer, Townsend & Associates a contract around the proposal of February 28 and submit the same to the Board at the next meeting. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bergen Colfer Grittani Teichert Nays: Bruhl Motion carried. Lump s~m fees including design and engineering charges for general supervision and general inspection are listed below: 1. For the well~ the ll~np so~n of $3,500. 2. For the p~nping station and reservoir foundation work, $7,000. 3. For the one million gallon reservoir, $3,750. Trustee Bruhl stated he voted nay because he feels the Village should be investigating the purchase of Chicago water.
