Trustee Reiter read for first reading an ordinance ten,inhering certain lots and buildings along East ~l,T~nereon Lane in Fairview Gardens. Lewis Panici, ll8 Emmerson, appeared before the Board and requested reconsideration of the rentm~bering of the hcmes, but rather, to a~oid confusion, to chenge the nmme of the street. Mrs. Charles Mitchel, ll4 Em~ersonj concu~z~d. Discussian followed and Trustee Reiter sgreed to place this matter in the Fire and Police C~.~ittee for causideration in February. Trustee Teichert, eeconded by T~ustee Lewis, moved to defer second reading until the ~mret meeting in March. 1~e Fire and Police Committee reviewed the Rural Fire District Protection Agreements and rec~,~nded by a vote of B-0 the Village administration re- new the ~eements of both Mount Prospect and Elk Grove. Trustee Lewis read an ordinance amending Map llS of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance rezoning the above property to R-1. Mr. Richard Braun requested waiving of first reading in order to start i~provements. The Sanitary District issued the permit and escrow funds have been submitted to the Village and ~engineering plans have been approved. P~BLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY Trustee Teichert read for first reading an ordinance amending Section 12.409 of the Municipal Code requiring action by the President and Board of Trustees to revoke or restore a license within 24 hours after receiv- ing a recommendation to so act frcm the Board of Health. The Clerk was requested to place the ordinance on the next agenda for final reading. OTHER BUSINESS 28-CS - P~SURFACING OF S~I'~I~S UNUER M~T PROGRAM Final bills submitted indicating extras over and above the contract price for placement of additional curb and gutters to correct defective drain- a~ which was revealed at the time of the work being done ~n Elm Street, William Street and School Street. The work was approved by the Village ~gineer. The total sum for project 28CS was increased by $3,650.45, and the necessary papers to be forwarded to the State have been prepared by the ~ugineering Department, and the administration requested Board authorization for the President and Clerk to affix their si~aatures thereon. BACKHOE PURCHASE M~mo received fram the Finance Director regarding replacement of a back- hoe for watennain breaks. At the present time the Village has a 1963 Oliver tractor with a Parsons backhoe which had been purchased for $6,000~ and has 5700 working hours recorded against it. It is the 8dministration's reccmmendatic~ that the Village consider purchasing i - 13 ft. hoe ($8,576.00 list) $7,000.00, less rental off $7,000.00. (The rental to date is approximately $650. ) This would give the Village the opportunity to keep the c~e now owned and purchase an additional one, and the Finance Director reported there are sufficient funds available. STOR~ WATER ~R EX~SIONS AT OR NEAR THE INERSEC'~ICN OF LONNQUIST A~D BUSSE The administration requested Board authorlzatien to purchase the neces- sary pipe at a cost of approximately $750 to extend a stonn water line from the chsmber box cn Buese Rd. eastward 204 f~. to the first manhole located east of Busse Road in the Moat Prospect golf course to the swale. The work would be done by the Public Works Department. Ccnstructic~ of the llne would then allow the existing 66" storm sewer serving the Colcnial Heights area to rally drain. The administration requested authorization for installaticn of a low flow line extending from the northerly portion of the existing retention basin located at Golf and Busse to the 66 inch storm sewer facility located on Lcnnquist west of Busze, at a cost of approximately $2000. This would deepen the ex~sting retention basin four feet, providing an additicnal 8 acre feet of storm water storage.
