Unanimous. Financial [ ~ ' n tloor~ PETITIONS-AND COMMUNICATIONS Mr. William G. Kleiner, 1118 N. Highland, Arlington Heights, reported a build- £ng permit had been issued October 25, 1967 for Versailles Apartments at Buildir~ 1801 S. Busse Rd. (Permit ~1323~). However, Mr. Kleiner stated he was unaware Per~lt Versailles Apts uilding the code stipulated a time limit of 60 days, and ~he permit was now con- Permit sidered void. He requested an extension without paying new fees. (It is Versailles required that when a permit has lapsed, the applicant would be required to ~pts pay 50% of the original fee paid.) Mr. Kleiner stated he probably would not start until after March 1st because of weather conditions. This matter was referred to the Building Committee at its meeting February 7th. RECESS AT 8:~0 P.M. BUILDING COMMITTEE Docket 1285 Trustee Teichert read a report regarding Cook County Zoning Docket #1285 which recommends that the Village Board affirm the policy of maintaining bu business and residential uses separated ~n~zonzng classifications, and if both uses are permitted within a specified classification, to require lateral separation.., and that this policy be stated in a suitable resolution ~e be placed before the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals. Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Rogers, moved the Village Board~concur in the recommendation of the Building Committee and a resolution be prepared opposing Cook Cp~ty Docket ~1~85, to.be presented at the meeting of the Board on February 6th. He moved~ seconded by Trustee Rogers, to concur with the recommenda- tion of the Fire and Police Committee to permit the increase in the number of cabs from 10 to 15. Trustee Reiter, secondedby'Trustee Purchase of 5 10/t0 Rogers, moved to concur with the recommendation of the Fire and Police receivers Committee to approve the request of the Mount Prospect Civil Defense and purchase five 10/10 receivers. Upon roll call: yes: Reiter. Grittani Kilroy Rogers Teichert Motion carried. School Dist. School District 214 requested waiver of vehicle license fees. It was the 214 waiver of recommendation of the Committee to deny the request and Trustee Reiter, vehicle seconded by Trustee Grlttani, moved %o condur with the Fi~e and Police license fees Committee and deny the request. Unanimous. denied Fire and Police Committee recommends Board approval of the low bid of Purchase of $~,701.67jfrom White Cronin for three Ford custom four-door sedans for the 3 ~ords for police department. Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Teichert, mo~ed .to Police concur with the recommendation of the Committee. JUDICIARY COMMITTEE Trustee Teichert gave first reading of a variation ordinance in Case 67-58A -Case 67-58 Trade Service Puhlication~ - 701 East Prospect Av~nue~ and requested it 1st reading be placed on the agenda o~ February Sth for second reading, of Ord Trustee Teichert moved Case 66-22P - Novak and Parker - rezoning from 66-22P R-1 to P-1 on Mount Prospect Road be brought from the table. It was the decision of the Purchase of Public Works Committee to purchase 100 meter guards at a price of $1.60 perl00 meter guardlon atrial basis to determine the practicality and feasibility of the use of these guards. Uniform t~ental The Public Works Co~mlttee recommended that a contract be awarded to Union Contract Linen Supply Company for a twc-y~ar period for uniform rental. Union Linen Cb. Trustee Rogers, seconded by Trustee Kilroy, moved to concur with the Public Works Committee to award a uniform rental contract to thelow bidder, Union Linen Supply Company, for $1.80 per week per employee. Annexation ANNEXATION - SOUTH SIDE OF ALGONQUIN ROAD So. side of Village Manager Moore requested consideration of an ordinance annexing the Algonquin ~d. south side of Algonquin Road. Ordinance ~2033, passed October 3, 1967, new ord. proposing to annex this property, did not contain an adequate legal descrip- 1st reading tion. Therefore, the Clerk was requested to read for first reading, a new ordinance with an amended legal description. The property invp!ved includes the San Souci Apartment complex.
