RATIFICATION OF ACTION OF SPECIAL i~2~ING HELD OCTOBER 18, 1969 Ratification Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved to waive the rules of action for ratification of action taken October 18, 1969. Unanimous. taken 10/18 Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved to ratify action taken at the special Board Meeting of October 18, 1969. PROCLAMATION Natl. Womens' President Teichert proclaimed the week of OcbOber t8 to October 25, Week 1969 as National Business Womens' Week. CITIZENS TO BE HE~RD Daniel Congreve appeared before the Board to discuss several matters, Congreve including future plar~iing and zoning, alledged "altering" of a plat, heard occupation of Countryside Bank and Farmer Cooper rezoning. He also discussed the future appointment of a trustee to fill%the vacancy left by the resignation of Trustee Lewis. The Village Attorney will submit an opinion in writing to bear out ~is statement that this must be done within 60 days. STATE HIGHWAY DEPART~51NT, DISTRICT 10 ~t. Hwy. Dept. Ronald Kennedy, civil engineer for the State Higjnway Department appeared ~oncerning to discuss the )B~sse Ave. propose~ improvement. The matter was deferred Busse Ave. until there was more opportunity to review the proposal. MT. PROSPECT LIBRARY M~. JUDICIARY COF~I~IT~E Martin Oil Co, Northwest corner Central & Northwest Highway - request Case 69-5P to rezone from I-1 to B-4 (Case 69-5P) Trustee Soderma~, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved to concur in the recommendation of the Judiciary Committee and Plan Corf~ission in denial of the petition for rozoning because of the safety factor and no de- monstrated need for the requested rezoning. Co. advertise a hearing to be heald in conjunction with the second meeting in November for pre-annexation hearing. LEWIS A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR THE SERVICE EXTENDED BY EARL W. LE%giS WHEREAS, EARL W. LEWIS had devoted his time, experience, knowledge, and dedication to th.~osition of serving in the elected office of Village 5¥ustee of the Village of Mount Prospect from May 2, 1967 to October l, 1969; %~ERE~S, EARL W. L~S served~unselfishly aud diligently on various committees composed of the elected Village Trustees; and WHEREAS, the residents of the Village of Mount Prospect' are deep]~v in- debted to EARL W. LE%giS for his distinguished service to our Village; and WHEREAS, EARL W.
