M. INVOCATION Trustee Grittani gave the invocation. ROLL CALL Present upon roll call: Trustee Reiter Grtttani Ellroy Lewis Soderrman President Congreve Arrived at 8:05 P. M Trustee Teichert APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS ~ETING Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Lewis, moved for approval of the minutes of April 1, 1969 as submitted. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS Trustee KilroY, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved to transfer $18,169.42 from Waterworks and Sewerage Surplus Account to Waterworks and Sewera~ Depreciation, Improvement and Extension Account for the following: Well #11 Construction 2,148.65 Plaza Water ~t n Extension 12,777.84 George Street Lif~ Station 3 242.93 Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grit'tani Kitroy Lewis Soderman Motion carried. Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved for approval of bills in the following amounts: General $107,198.15 Parking System Revenue 476.94 Waterworks & Sewerage Bd. & Int. 70,981.25 Waterworks & Sewerage . Dept, Impr. & Ext. 18,169.42 Waterworks & Sewerage Fund 23,648.69 $220 ~474745. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. Trustee Lewis~ seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved for'approval of the Financial Report for the month of March, 1969 subject to audit. Unanimous. CO~'i'£~ CH~IR~ ~EPOHTS FINANCE CO~PTEE Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Reiter, moved for passage and approval of Ordinance No. 2162: AN ORDINANCE AUt~HORIZING TRANSFERS AMONG APPROPRIATIONS Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion ca~led. Trustee Kilroy, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved to transfer $18,000 from Waterworks and Sewerage Fund to the General Fund as the annual charge as provided in the 1968-69 budget and Section 9, para. f(2) of Ordinance 907 for general administration of thessystem - (this inctude~ a percentage of salaries not charged direct $o the system and land and building use. ) Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. E-IER BUSINF~S 1969 MFT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM Two bids were submitted on the 1969 M~T Maintenance Program and ~L~row Road Con- struction co. of Mount Prospect was the low qualified bidder. The Acting Village Engineer recommended that the contract in the amount of $5,556.50 be awarded to Ar~Jow Road Construction, and the Village Manager concurred. Trustee Lewis, seconded by Trustee Sodermen, moved to award the contract in the amount of $5,556.50 to Arrow Road Construction Co. of Mount Prospect, concurring with the reconmendations of the Acting Village EngiD~er and the Village Manager. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. 35cs MFT Report from the acting Village Engineer stated five contractors submitted formal bids. All were found to be correct. Allied Asphalt of Hillside~ Ill. was the low qualified bidder, and he recoramended the contract in the amount of $194,359.75 be awarded to Allied Asph~t. The Village Manager concun~ed. Trustee Kilrey~ seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved to award the contract to Allied Asphalt of Hillside, Ill. in the amount of $194,359.75, and to retain the bid checks of Rock Road Construction, second lowest bidder, and Allied Asphalt, returning all other bid checks. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittar~i Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. CANVASS OF VOTES The Village Clerk read Resolution No.~ a-6s' A 5ESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD APRIL 15, 1969, AND DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF Trustee Teichert, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved for passage and approval of Resolution No. 9-69. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. The Village Clerk read Resolution No. 10-69: A ~SOLUIION C~NVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE SPECIAL ELECTION ~HELD APRIL 15, 1969, AND DECLARING THE EESULTS THEREOF Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittaui Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. ~ESIGNATION OF VILLA(~ MANAGER President Congreve read a letter of resigDation submitted by Village Manager Robert Moore and Trustee Reiter, seconded by Trustee Soderman~ moved to ac'cept the resignation. Upon roll call: Ayes: Reiter Grittani Kilroy Lewis Soderman Teichert Motion carried. Resolution re Metropolitan Sanitary District was referred to the Public Works Committee. Request from NIPC for $600 was referred to the Finance Con--z~ittee. Illinois Bell request for easement through the east railroad lot was referred to the Public Works Committee. Lincoln-Douglas plat of subdivision of land outside the Village limits waw referred to the Judiciary Conmtittee. Reply from the Department of Public Works and Buildings re tree planting in parkway reas along Golf Road was referred to the Fire and Police Co~m~[ttee. Request for Class "R" liquor license for Blaz'r Steakhouse was referred to the Finance Committee. ADJOURNFENT Trustee P2iter, seconded by Trustee Grittani, moved the meeting ba adjourned.
