Call to order INVOCATION Trustee Link gave the invocation. Invocation ROLL CALL Present upon roll call: Ahem Anderson Furst Link Roi1 Call Richardson Scholten Teichert APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 5, 1972 Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Anderson, moved Approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of December 5, t972 Minutes be approved as submitted. Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee An~ersDn, moved the Financial Report for the month of November, 1972 be approved subject mo audit. Mayor Teichert reported the Drainage and Clean Streams Com- mission would need at least an additional $0 to 40 days have their recommendations in final form and therefore brought into consideration an extension of the moratorium of buildin~ permits. Trustee Anderson, seconded by Trustee Richardson, moved that the moratorium on the issuance of building permits be extended through the month of February, 1973. Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Richardson, moved to approve Resolution motion for A RESOLUTION FOR THE TRANSFER OF TITLE OF LAND passage of ADJACENT TO THE MOUNT PROSPECT PUBLIC LIBRARY Resolution no. 33-72 Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Link Richardson Scholten Motion carried. CERTIFICATES OF MERIT Certificates of Merit were awarded to the following: Dr. Ruane and Pahl Garvin of the Board of Health, George Jacobsmeyer, Board of Appeals, and John D. O'Neill of the Drainage and Clean Streams Commission. MaYor Teichert and the Board discussed the proposed blood donor program. Action was deferred pending further con- sideration by the JayCees. This organization has expressed interest in cooperating in such a project. COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN REPORTS BUILDING COMMITTEE Trustee Anderson, seconded by Trustee Richardson, moved for passage of Ordinance No. 2402: motion for passage of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XI OF THE BUILDING CODE Ordinance No. 2402 (Swimming pool ordinance) Upon roll call: Ayes: Anderson Furst Link Richardson Nays: Ahem Motion carried. FINANCE COMMITTEE Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Link, moved to waive the rules to consider a matter not on the agenda - Evans Restaurant request for change in liquor license. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahem Anderson Furst Link Richardson Motion carried. FIRE AND POLICE COMMITTEE The Committee recommended that in order To decrease the speed and hazards au the "S" curve on Route 83 the Village Engineer and Police Chief study the ~possibilities of posting signs in different locations and eliminate all unnecessary signs in the area. Signs indicating "No Left Turns" are to be posted at the southern entrance To Pine Street and the northern entrance to Wille Street. A vigorous police patrol of the area would continue ro further reduce speed through the curve area. The second item discussed by the Committee was the Stop and Yield Warrants Ordinance. Changes were made and were sub- mitted to the Safety Commission for comments. JUDICIARY COMMITTEE Case 72-20P May Deparmment Store Kenroy petition property am Elmhurst and Dempsrer. Referred To Village Attorney. Reconsideration of vote on Case 72-10P petition to rez~e 72-~0P property west side of River Road north of Camp McDonald Rd. Brickman - The Commit'tee discussed sewer and water problems in the area. A request was made to the Village Engineer to prepare a report concerning sanitary sewer service to the proposed area. The Village Engineer indicated that the sani- mary sewer sysmem now installed would be adequate for 226 homes along with 112 units, although only 80 units are pro~ posed. The storm system has been determined to be inadequate. No further action was taken am this meeting. OTHER BUSINESS The public hearing on pre-annexation agreemenm for property south of Algonquin and east of Nordic Road was continued.
