INVOCATION Invocation Trustee Anderson gave the invocation. ROLL CALL R011 Call Present upon roll call: Ahern Anderson Furst Monroe Richardson Teichert Absent: Scholten MARATHON 0IL COMPANY - GOLF AND BUSSE ROADS Marathon 0il Company. A revised subdivision plat was presented showing Golf and Busse Rds. a 30' setback on Busse Road and a 50' setback on Golf Road, removing former objections to the sub- division, regarding sight distance. Trustee Monroe, seconded by Trustee Furst, moved to waive the rules requiring two readings of an ordinance in the passage of Ordinance #2318: Ord. #2318 Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Monroe Richardson Motion carried. Trustee Ahern, seconded by Trustee Monroe, moved for passage of Ordinance No. 2318: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 23S OF THE MOUNT amending Map 23S PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE (Marathon Oil Co; - B-3 vo B-4) Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Monroe Richardson Motion carried. Trustee Ahern, seconded by Trustee Monroe, moved to authorize the President to sign, and the Clerk To attest, the plat of Subdivision - Marathon 0il Marathon 0il Co. Co. - and the sutject agreement, tt was understood plat of subdivisi¢ the agreement will contain an additional statement To the effect that it is subjec~ to all ordinances and regulations of the Village and adherance To the subdivision plat approved this evening. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Monroe Richardson Motion carried. annexation of ANNEXATION OF NEW TOWN PROSPECT HEIGHTS New Town ProspectThis special meeting was called for the Heights purpose of holding the public hearing on the annexation of New Town Prospecv Heights. Under discussion, the insurance classification was considered, and also costs, potential develop- merit of vacanv property, the compatability of Prospect Heights residential area, tax base, and the matter of requesting a census in the proposed annexation. It was reported that Simonsen's Nursery would be a legal, non- conforming use, and therefor the petiti6m and objections to annexation~were withdrawn. Mrs. Ethel Kolerus, Wheeling Township Supervisor, spoke in favor of the annexation, Mr. Lloyd Norris posed the question of the possibitivy of a referendum, Mr. Richard Rochester of the Forest River Fire Protection District discussed fire rating, and Mr. Joseph Grittani voiced su~- port of the annexation. Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Ahern, moved vo waive the rules requdring two readings of an ordimance annexing New Town Prospect Heights. Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Monroe Richardson Nays: Furst Motion carried. Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Ahem, Ord. ~2319 moved for passage of Ordinance #2319: annexing the AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE UNINCORPORATED unincorporated AREAS KNOWN AS~"CAMELOT'' AND "NEW TOWN areas known as PROSPECT HEIGHTS" TO THE VILLAGE OF "Camelot" and MOUNT~PROSPECT "New Town Prospect Heights" Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Monroe Richardson Teichert Motion carried. FOR INFORMATION ONLY Cook County look County Docket #2017 - property south side Docket ~2017 of Dempster Street approximately 800' east of Linneman Road petition to rezone from R-4 to Cook County R-6 (8 acres) and Cook County Docket #1981 Docket #1981 property south side of Algonquin Road approximately 175' east of the intersection of Algonquin Road and Briarwood Drive from R-5 vo B-3 for a shop- ping cenver (2.2 acres). Hearing at Elk Grove Village Hall at 3:00 P.M. October a, 1971. Trustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Ahem, moved 5o authorize the Village Attorney to represent the Village Board a5 the above hearings (Cook Counvy Dockets #201~ and #1981.) Upon roll call: Ayes: Ahern Anderson Furst Monroe Richardson Motion carried. September 28, 1971 rustee Furst, seconded by Trustee Monroe, moved to authorize the Village Manager to proceed with a census of the newly annexed area.
