MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
July 23, 1974
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Teiehert called the meeting to order at 8:05 PM.
INVOCATION
Trustee Hendricks gave the invocation.
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Anderson Caylor Gustus Hendricks
Scholten Teichert
Absent: Richardson
Mayor Teichert called this special meeting on Friday, July
19, 1974 pursuant to Chapter 2. "The Board of Trustees"
Section 2.103 "Meetings" as ordained in the Municipal Code
of Mount Prospect. The sole purpose of the meeting was to
discuss with the ad hoc downtown sub-committee of the Mount
Prospect Planning Commission, with Mr~ Robert Bennett as
Chairman, the retaining of consulting firms Barton-Aschman
Associates, Inc. for physical planning and Property con-
sultants, I~d~. for an economic feasibility study.
The study proposed would consider traffic, uses and ap-
pearance and be treated as a massive planned unit development.
The p~6~a~s~broken down into three phases: market study
cove~i~g~ the trade area and neighborhood service; multi-family
housing and senior citizens; and offices.
It wa~! the recommendation of the ad hoc downtown sub-committee
to retain as consultants Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. and
Property Consultants, Inc. to make a combined study of a
comprehensive plan for the Village.
Trustee Scholten, seconded by Trustee Anderson, moved to
concur in the recommendation of the ad hoc downtown sub-
committee of the Mount P~ospect downtown sub-committee
to retain as consultants Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. in
the amount of $13,500.00 and Property Consultants, Inc. in
the amount of $16~500.00 for a combined study of the Village.

Motion carried.
Trustee Gustus, seconded by Trustee Scholten, moved to
authorize the Village Manager and/or Mayor to sign the
contracts with the aforementioned firms.

COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Public Health and Safety Committee meeting cancelled for
July 25th.
ADJOURNMENT
Trustee Hendricks, seconded by Trustee Caylor, moved the
meeting be adjourned. Time: 9:30 P.M. Unanimous.
