COMMUNICATIONS & PETITIONS - CITIZENS TO BE HEARD J & R Ray Schultz ~nd Joseph Cohen, representing J & R Subdivision (ZBA Case 2-V-77) SUB. asked to be heard at this pGint in time rather than unti~ their assl'gned ~o~ltion on the agenda (last). Both gentlemen requested the Board approve the plat of subdivision, engineering plans and grant the proposed variations. The Board felt since it did nOt h~e sufficient time to study the~merits of the request, it should be charged to the building committee and then brought before the Board at the nex~ Board Meeting. MANAGER'S REPORT The Village Manager requested the Board to approve an annual Resolution for work done on State rightJof-way. RESOLU-Trustee Wattenberg, seconded by Trustee Rhea, moved to approve Resolution iTION #3-77: 3-77 ANNUAL RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATIONS FOR PERMITS FROM THE ILLINOIS DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS Upon roll call: Ao~es: Floros Hendricks Minton Rhea Richardson Wattenberg Motion carried. The Village Manager advised the Board Rossetti Construction Company was awarded the contract for the We-Go Trail storm sewer project in as much as they were the low bidder. The Village Manager presented the bidding for proposals for Well #17. Trustee Wattenberg, seconded by Trustee Minton, moved to award the contract to J. P. Pg. 2 2-1-77 MAYOR'S REPORT The Mayor proclaimed the week of February 6 - 12 as Grade Crossing Safety Week. COMMITTEE REPORTS A thorough discussion commenced on the merits of granting Good Peoples Food Cooperative the variations and special use requested. Trustee Minton requested Case 67-V-76 be placed on the next agenda to allow for more study into the particulars of the case. Trustee Minton, seconded by Trustee Hendricks, moved to concur with the BuildingTo_Z_76 Committee's report and approve the site plan for cases 70-Z-76, 71-SU-76 subject71-SU-76 to posting of public improvement bonds. FINANCE COMMITTEE Trustee Floros, seconded by Trustee Richardson, moved to concur with the Finance Committee's report and grant a new Class l'J license for issuance to Jolly Roger Restaurant. PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITTEE The charge of Flags & Penants - sign ordinance violations was switched to the Building Committee because the Director of Building & Zoning, who is redra~ting the ordinance, normally attends the latter's meetings. Change so made. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE Trustee Rhea', seconded by Trustee Floros, moved to approve the maintenance agree- ment with Arlington Heights pertaining to the MSD Retention reservoir.
