COI~UNICATIONS AND PETITIONS - CITIZENS TO BE HEARD APPR.ECIATION TO Trustee Miller expressed appreciation to the Mount Prospect FIRE DEPT. Fire Department on the fine service provided by the paramedics when a relative was taken ill over the weekend. M~ANAGER'S REPORT Village Manager Terrance Burghard presented the following BID: bid results for a replacement 1¼ cu.yd, multi-purpose 4 in i Tractor Bucket bucket for an existing tractor: (Northwest Ford) Bidder Make/Model Bid Price Westside Tractor Sales Anvil MTl14 $ 4,990.00 Lewis International, Inc. EXPENDITURE: TREE TRIMMING Mr. Burghard presented a request for additional funds in !..PROGRAM order to continue with the tree trimming program. It was i .,(~els Johnson) stated that an additional $5,412.25 would be necessary to maintain the current trimming schedule. Trustee Farley, seconded by Trustee Miller, moved to authorize the expenditure of an additional $5,412.25 from the 1980-81 budget in connection with the tree trimming program to Nels Johnson. PROCEDURES FOR ~URCHASE OR LEASE The Village Manager presented an ordinance establishing .O.F REAL ESTATE procedures for the purchase or lease of real estate. Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Wattenberg, moved to waive the rule requiring t~vo readings of an ordinance in order to take action on the proposed ordinance. NO. 3064 Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Wattenberg, moved for passage of Ordinance No. 3064 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR THE PURCHASE OR LEASE OF REAL ESTATE Upon roll call: Ayes: Farley Floros Miller Richardson Wattenberg Nays: None .pEDESTRIAN SIGNAL.- Motion carried. COUNCIL TRAIL & ...ELMHURST RD.. The Village Manager announced that federal funds for the proposed pedestrian signal on Elmhurst Road, just south of Council Trail, would not be approved due to the proposed location, noting that the actual intersection of Council Trail and Elmhurst Road was the recommended site. FINANCE COMMITTEE Trustee Miller, seconded by Trustee Farley, moved for AMEND CH. 18 passage of Ordinance No. 3067 PARKING METER RATES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 AND SCHEDULE XV OF THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE ORD. NO. 3067 VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT (Parking Meter Rates) Upon roll call: Ayes: Farley Floros Miller Richardson Wattenberg Nays: None Motion carried. Trustee Miller presented An Ordinance Amending Section 2.102.A AMEND 2.102.A of Chapter 2 of the Village of Mount Prospect Municipal Code and . .A, 13..A 1 102 109 An Ordinance Amending Section 1. 102.A of Chapter i and (Elected officials Section 13.109.A of the Village of Mount Prospect Municipal Salaries) Code for first reading. These ordinance will be presented November 18th for second readings. FIRE AND POLICE COMMITTEE No report. LEGISLATIVE/JUDICIARY COMMITTEE No report. WELL 17 - EASEMEN.T Trustee Richardson, seconded by Trustee Wattenberg, moved to authorize the Mayor to sign and Clerk to attest her signature on the Plat of Easement, granting an easement to Commonwealth Edison at Well 17.
