A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2001 ACTION PLAN
INCLUDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2001 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, thc Village of Mount Prospect has prepared a Five-year Consol dated Plan, which includes
a Action Plan as well as an application for a Community Development Block ;rant; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is entering its twenty-third year ~ ~ an entitlement community
under the federal Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, in thc past twenty two years the Village has used its Communit3 Development Block Grant
entitlement to implement various projects to address the community develop ncnt and housing needs of
low and moderate-income and elderly residents, to reduce and prevent the oc :urrencc of deterioration in
the Village, to increase accessibility for the handicapped, and to address )ther community needs in
conformance with the objectives of the Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has allocated $503,400 for risc al year 2001from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees has determined that the Action Plan and the use of CDBG
funds can be of benefit in providing for residenfs health, safety and w. flfare and in meeting the
community and housing needs of its citizens:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BO~ ~RD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOI
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mo/ ~t Prospect hereby approve
the attached Action Plan, which includes an allocation of Community Develot ment Block Grant funds in
the amount of $503,400.
Youth Service Programs $ 46,150
Suburban Primary Health Care $ 9,000
Eldefly/Comraunity Services Program $ 5,000
Transitional Living Program and Resource Center $ 28,250
Public Steetlight Improvements $150,000
Single Family Rehabilitation Loan Program $140,000
Neighborhood Sidewalk Ramp ADA Program $100,000
General Administration $ 25~000
FY 2001 CDBG FUNDS $503.400
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village nf Mounl Prospect hereby authorizes
the Village Manger to prepare and forward to the U.S. Department of Housinl: and Urban Development a
submission of Mount Prospect's 2001 Action Plan in accordance with fed :ral guidelines. This Plan
includes an application for FY 2001 federal Community Development Block, ~rant funds.

SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval in the manner provided by law.
