A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE MANY CONTRIBUTIONS
OF EARL L. SUTTER UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, EARL L. SUTTER has been a resident of Mount
Prospect for the past 17 years; and
WHEREAS, EARL L. SUTTER has been an educator for the past
37 years, having been a teacher and later principal in the
Bloomington, Illinois school system, the Superintendent in
School District 3 in Elmhurst and Superintendent of Mount
Prospect School District 57; and
WHEREAS, EARL L. SUTTER assumed the responsibility of
Superintendent of Mount Prospect School District 57 in 1973
when the enrollment was approximately 3,250 students; and
WHEREAS, during the 17 years as Superintendent of Mount
Prospect School District 57, EARL L. SUTTER has seen many
changes take place including the decline of enrollment to
approximately 1,400 in 1989 and several school being
closed; and
WHEREAS, EARL L. SUTTER has been an active member of the
community, including membership in the Rotary Club serving
in the positions of Secretary and President.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect express their appreciation to
EARL L. SUTTER for his many years of service to the
community.
SECTION TWO: That on behalf of the residents of the
Village of Mount Prospect, the Mayor and Board of Trustees
do hereby extend best wishes to EARL L. SUTTER upon his
retirement.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval in the
manner provided by law.
AYES: Arthur, Busse, Floros, Van Geem, Farley
NAYS: None
PASSED and APPROUED this 5th day of June, 1990.
