HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 43-63 11/26/1963 RESOLUTION NO. 43-63 WHEREAS, the owners of Old Orchard Country Club have sought annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect provided that they can develop their property as they have proposed in the hearings had before the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals, and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has authority under the State Statutes to enter into a pre-annexation agreement with the owners and developers, and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has hired Eugene Baughman as its City Planner for the purpose of developing a compre- hensive village zoning ordinance and making recommendations on the Old Orchard project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect: Section 1. That the members of the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect are hereby des~gnated as a bargaining agent of the Village for the purpose of working out a pre-annexation agreement with the owners and developers of Old Orchard, which agreement shall take into consideration the recommendations heretofore made and to be made by Eugene Baughman, City Planner to the Village of Mount prospect. It is understood that no agreement negotiated by the Judiciary Committee shall be binding on the Village until ratified by the President and Board of Trustees sitting as a whole at a regular Board meeting and in accor- dance with law. Section 2. That the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee shall set and determine the dates and places for conferences to be had with the developers of Old Orchard. Section 3. That accurate minutes shall be maintained of all meetings had for distribution to the President and Board of Trustees together with a weekly progress report. Section 4. That the Judiciary Committee shall in negotia- ting the aforementioned pre-annexation agreement seek the advise of the Village attorney on legal matters and the advise of the following persons named as a special advisory committee: Albert Dresser James Wax Eugene Martin Harold Appleby James King Eugene Baughman each of whom shall attend such conferences as the Judiciary Committee shall request. Section 5. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
