HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 08-65 04/06/1965 RESOLUTION NO. 8-65 A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO A REQUEST FOR A VARIATION BEFORE THE COOK COUNTY ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS - DOCKET NO. 876 RELATING TO REQUESTED SIGN NEAR RAtID AND ELMHURST ROADS. WHEREAS, the Firestone Rubber Company, through M. C. Brown of its real estate department has requested a variation in the Cook County Zoning ordinance so as to permit a sign thirty (30) feet high to be erected two (2) feet from Elmhurst Road instead of the required fifteen (15) feet; and WHEREAS, the petitioner in the above noted cause has failed to demonstrate a practical hardship as required by the Illinois State Statutes: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the Village of Mount Prospect does hereby file a formal objection to the requested variation noted above for the reason that the petitioner has fmled to show a practical hardship; that the failure to use the required set back would obstruct the view of traffic and detract from traffic signals at the Randhurst exit near the Firestone Rub ber Company. Section 2. That the Village Clerk is instructed and directed to s end a cert ified copy of this resolut ion to the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals. Section 3.
