A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR TO TERMINATE AGREEMENT DATED MARCH 8. 1947 REGARDING PROJECT NO. ILL-II-P-220. VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. ILLINOIS STORM RELIEF SEWERS INCLUDING THE WELLER CREEK INTERCEPTING SEWERS MAIN STREET AND ELMHURST ROAD RELIEF SEWER SCHOOL STREET WHEREAS. the United States of America has heretofore made an advance. pursuant to an agreement dated March 8. 1947 to the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County. Illinois in the amount of $8.400.00 for the purpose of plan preparation of the public work described in the agreement as "Sewer Facilities - Storm relief sewers. including extension of existing sewer out- falls and necessary appurtenant facilities." and ,I I WHEREAS. by the use of the Federal advance the Village of Mount Prospect caused to be prepared plans and specifica- tions for the public work described in the aforesaid agreement. and I II I: I I !I WHEREAS. no construction has been undertaken of the project or any portion thereof described in the aforesaid agree- ment dated as of the 8th day of March. 1947. and WHEREAS. there is no reasonable likelihood of the planned project or any portion thereof being undertaken because the sewer system in Mount Prospect. Illinois has been turned over to the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Chicago (see attached resolution); NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County. Illinois: I I I I I I I II I ! Section 1. That as there is no reasonable likelihood of the project-or any portion thereof as planned with the Federal advance ever being placed under construction for the reasons set forth above. the Housing and Home Finance Administrator be re- quested to make a determination that the Agreement dated on the 8th day of March. 1947 be terminated and that the Village of Mount Prospect be relieved of all liability thereunder. Section 2. That this resolution is adopted pursuant to the authority provided by Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes. Section 3.
