RESOLUTION NO. 14-65
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A YOUTH COMMISSION
BE IT FESOLVED, by this Village Board of the Village of Mount
Prospect:
That the Village President be and is herewith authorized to
appoint a Youth Commission of at least 10 members representing churches,
schools, homes, and the community at large, to serve without compensation
in liaison with the Police Department, School Systems, Health Department,
Social Agencies, Civic Clubs and Youth Serving Organizations, for the
purpose of:
(1) Making or causing to be made studies and surveys of
community conditions and problems affecting youth;
(2) Determining a method of operation and organization
in Mount Prospect that will encourage, promote and
preserve wholesome and constructive activities and
practices among its youth;
(3) Recommending plans and action for the protection of
youth from exposure to harmful influences and
conditions, and for the prevention of delinquency,
including services for the rehabilitation of de-
linquent yc;uth;
Said Youth Commission to submit to the Village President and
this Villaee Board a comprehensive report of its conclusions and deter-
minations together with its recommendations.
