RE:SO'LUT ION
WHEREAS. the Village of Mount Prospect has been contacted by the
Fairview Gardens Civic Association regarding the feasibility of annexation
to the Village of Mount Prospect. and;
WHEREAS. the residents in tlle Fairview Gardens are desirous of taking
the necessary steps to become annexed to a municipality. and
WHEREAS. the Village of Mount Prospect is cognizent of the desires of the
Vairview Garden residents to have the utility company servicing their area
acquired by the municipality and;
WHEREAS if Fairview Gardens were to be annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect. the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect would
extend every feasible means in which to acquire the utility company aDd
establish rates for the users thereof on such a basis that the cost of the
utility company will be born by the users. aDd;
WHEREAS monies received from the users within the Fairview Gardens Sub-
division will be used solely for the maintenance of the system and the re-
tirement of the purchase price of same;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the President aDd Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect that:
Section 1: The corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect
hereby express their intentions to use all means feasible in acquiring the
utility company presently serving Fairview Gardens upon its annexation into
the Village.
Section 2: That the monie. received from the users on said system will
be directed to the maintenaDce and retirement of the cost of said system.
Section 3: Upon the full and complete reimbursement to the Village
by the users for the purchase of the utility company. it is the intention of
this Board that the rates then established will coincide with the rates
established for those users on the V~llage'S__system. ~
