RESOLUTION NO. 1-69
A RESOWTION OF APPRECIATION FOR THE SERVICE EXTENDED
BY . DONALD R. ROGERS
WHEREAS, DONALD R. ROGERS had devoted his tiroo, experience,
knowledge, and dedication to the position of serving in the elected office
of Village Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect from May 2, 1967 to
December 7, 1969;
WHEREAS, DONALD R. ROGERS served unselfishly and diligently
on the Board of Appeals and later as Trustee, on various cornrni ttees
composed of the elected Village Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the Village of }\bunt Prospect has been greatly en-
hanced by the knowledge and concentrated efforts expended by DOO'ALD R.
ROGERS in the performance of his position as Village Trustee, especially
with respect to accomplishments leading to: the settleroont of a certain
7.5 million dollar law suit filed against the Village President and
Board of Trustees, contracts with land developers to participate in
valuable sewerage and drainage projects, the completion of several half
streets about park property, as well as the enactment of a new Building
Code; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the Village of }\bunt Prospect are
deeply indebted to DONALD R. ROGERS for his distinguished service to
our Village; and
WHEREAS, DONALD R. ROGERS did resign on December 18, 1968 from
his elected position as Village Trustee because of added business re-
sponsibilities and consequent difficulties of scheduling tiroo required as
Trustee; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect desire to express to DONALD R. ROGERS on behalf of all the
residents of the Village their gratitude to him for his dedicated and
distinguished service to the Village;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENr AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE O~ MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That by this Resolution the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of l\t>unt Prospect express to OONALD R. ROGERS
their deep gratitude for his dedicated, faithful, and constructive service
as an elected official, Village Trustee, of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
BE IT :b"'URI'HER RESOLVED that as a perpetual roornento a copy of this
Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect and that a certified copy of sarre be suitable engraved
upon parchroont and delivered to DONAlD R. ROGERS; and
BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
