RESOLUTION NO. 32-69
WHEREAS, the Finance Canmi ttee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect did meet en October 20, 1969, for the purpose of reviewing
the expenditures and costs involved with agenda mailing, and have made cer-
tain recamnendations regarding sa.rre; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have reviewed said recarurendatien of the Finance Corrrni ttee and have detennined
that the sa.rre is for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, 'IHEREFORE t BE IT RESOLVED BY lliE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPEcr, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SEGrIOO Q'lE: 'lhat the Village Olerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, at
least twenty-four (2LJ) hours before all rreetings of the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, shall post a copy of each
agenda for the said meetings en the bulletin board located in the lobby of
the Mount Prospect Village Hall.
SECTION 1WO: 'lhat the said Village Clerk shall provide canplete agenciae for
the aforesaid rreetings t including minutes and exhibits, to each of the follow-
ing persens: the Village President, Village Trustees, Village Clerk, Village I
Manager, each of the several administrative department heads, and the Managing
Editors of 'lhe Prospect Day and 'lhe Mount Prospect Herald newspapers.
SEGrION THREE: That copies of current agendae and minutes to be approved shal~
be made available for public inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk;
and that, in addition, the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect shal
provide the aforesaid copies at no cost to the various Village Canmissiens and I
Board Chairman and at no cost to members of the general public who desire to I
obtain the said copies at the office of the Village Clerk; and further, the I
Village Clerk of the Village of Hount Prospect is hereby authorized to make
charges for mailing to all others desiring agendae for all rreetings of the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect pursuant to
the following schedule:
a. $ 5.00 annually for mailing of agenda cnly
b. $10.00 annually for mailing of agenda and minutes cnly
SEcrION FDUR: That the provisions of Secticn Three above shall not apply to
elected Village officials and the chairmen of conmissicns and boards for a
period of two years after the tennination of their holding office, during
which two years the said officers shall receive by mail both agendae and
minutes without cost or charge, at their request.
SEGrION FIVE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
January 1, 1970, and after its passage and approval in the manner provided
by law.
