ELECTRICAL DANGER SIGNALS AT MAIN STREIT AID EMERSON S!.BE1T
CROSSINGS IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, OOOK COtnlTY, ILLINO IS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Hount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois;
SECTION 1. Whereas, this Body has determined that
the crossings of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway at its
intersections with Emerson Street and Main Street in this
Village are in need of additional protection:
SECTION 2. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED that the Chicago
& Horthwestern Railway Oompany be and it is hereby requested
and required to install two flashing light signals at each of
the crossings aforesaid, locating one on the west side of
Emerson Street north of the main tracks of said railway, one
on the west side of Main Street north of the main tracks of
said railway, one on the east side of Emerson Street south of
the main tracks of said railway, and one on the east side of
:Main Street south of the main tracks of' said railway. Said!
signals shall be operated automatically on the approach of
trains and in addition shall be manually supervised by a man
located in a building or tower at a location to be mutually
agreed to by the Railway Company and a representative of said
Village.
SlCTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
