AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN
ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ERECTION,CON-
J STRUqTION, ALTERATION, REPAIR, REMOVAL, SAFETY AND INSPECTION OF
\,(J ANY BUILDING, WALL, STRUCTURE OR PORTION THEREOF AND CREATING THE
\}\ OFFICE OF SUPERINTENDENT OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION".
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois:
SECTION 1. That an ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, REPAIR, RE-
MOVAL, SAFETY AND INSPECTION OF ANY BUILDING, WALL,
STRUCTURE OR PORTION THEREOF AND CREATING THE OFFICE
OF SUPERINTENDENT OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION",
passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, on the 2nd day of August,
A.D.1927, be a..'1lended by adding to Section 20 of said ordinance,
after the paragraph subtitled t1SIDING", the following paragraphs:
"No stucco shall oe used or placed on what is
known as "patent lath" or "grooved sheeting". If'
stucco is to be used in the construction of any
building the portion to be stuccoed shall first be
stripped with 1" x 2" t'urring or ltith metal lath
before applying the stucco.
Masonite,celotex or gyplap may be used on brick
veneer buildings.
The exterior of no building shall be constructed
in what is sometimes known as "shirt front style",
but all brick used for,the exterior of the building
shall be uniform kind and quality".
SECTION 2. This ordinance ~ha11 be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication or
posting.
Passed this 5th day of' February, A.D.1929.
