HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 137 01/07/1930 / ".'..'7 I i I , AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE LOCATION AND MAINTENANCE OF MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT IN THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS and THE DOING OF ANY WORK II OR ON SUCH PUBLIC STREETS, WITHOUT A PERMIT OR LICENSE OBTAINED FOR THAT PURPOSE. l. BE IT ORDAINED By the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospeot in the Oounty of Cook and State of Illinois: SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for an, person, firm or corporation to place, locate or maintain any machinery, tools or equipment upon any of the public streets, avenues, alleys or thoroughfares within the Village of Mount Prospect, or to do or perform any work or labor in and on such pub~~. streets, avenues, alleys and thoroughfares, or to proceed to construct any work or improvement within the limits of any such public streets, avenues, alleys or thoroughfares without first obtaining a written consent or license to maintain such machinery or equipment or to perform such work or to construct such pro- posed improvement; such consent or license sliall be over the signature of the Presid~t of said Village and shall be issued upon the approval of the Board of Trustees of said Village; Provided, However, no such permit or license shall be required of any person, firm or corporation employed by the Village to do and perform any work or construct any improvement on or in such public streets, avenues, alleys and thoroughfares, or any person, firm or corporation wnich shall have entered into a;~. contraot with said Village for the doing of any work or the con- struction of any improvement in or upon such streets. SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation that shall do or perform any work or labor in or on such public streets, avenues, alleys and thoroughfares or shall have constructed any work or improvement thereon, whether under a permit or license as herein provided, or Whether by reason of any contract with said Village, shall cause such streets, avenues, alleys and thoroughfares to be placed as nearly as possible in the same condition for travel and use by the public as they were in prior to the time of the doing or performance of such work or the con- struction of such improvement. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate or cause to be violated by any of its employees or agents, any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not less than Ten (610.00) Dollars nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars, for each offense; and every day during which such violation continues shall constitute a separate and distinct offense and violation of the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and posting and shall be known as Ordinance No. . Passed this 7th day of January, A.D. 1930.
