AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON CERTAIN PARTS OF
NORTHWEST HIGHVvAY IN THE VILLAGE OF lIDUNT PROSPECT, COUNTY OF
COOK AND STATE OF ILLINOIS.

BE IT ORDAIlillD by the President and Board of Trustees Qf
the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook and State of
Illinois:
SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for the operator of
any vehicle to stop, stand or park said vehicle upon any part of
the pavement on ~roRTffNEST HIGffWPY within the Village limits of the

forty (40) feet northeasterly of and parallel with the northeaster y

line of the right of way and station gro~ds of the Chicago and

Northwestern Railway Company, as now e~tablished and existing,
except that an operator may stop temporarily during the actual
loading or unloading of passengers, if such stop does not actually
impede or endanger moving traffic, or when necessary to stop in,
obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs or signals of a
police officer.
SECTION 2. The Board of Trustees or such other officer

or employees of said village as the Board of Trustees may direct,
shall erect and maintain an adequate number of "No Parking" signs.
setting forth the main provisions of this ordinance, said signs to
be oblong in shape, the color of the background to be white and
the color of the lettering and border to be black.
S~CTION 3. Any person violating any or the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
viction thereof shall be punished in accordance with the provision
of the State law.

conflict herewith are hereby repealed in so far as the conflict
herewith.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force ~nd
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
