AN ORDINANCE CREATING A PLAN COMMISSION IN AND FOR THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT) COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, IN THE COUNTY OF COOK AND STATE
OF ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That there be and hereby is created a Plan
Commission in and for the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
Such Commission shall consist of a. Chairman and four (4) other
members, of whom the President of the Village shall be a member
exofficio. Such Chairman and the remaining three Commissioners
shall be appointed by the President of the Village with the
approval of the Board of Trustees, at the first regular meeting
of the President and Board of Trustees held after the regular
biennia.l election of a President and Board of Trustees, or a,s
soon after such biennial election as may be convenient. The
term pi office of the Chairman and each member shall be four
years. The first Chairman and members of such Commission upon
their appointment shall hold office until the first regular
meeting of the President and Board of Trustees after the regular
biennial Village election, or until their successors in office
shall have been appointed and qualified. Upon the first appoint-
ments to said Commission to be made after the next regular
biennial Village election the Shairman shall be appointed for
the term of four years, one member for the term of one year, one
member for the term of two years, one member for the term of
three years and the President of the Village as ex officio member
of said Commission shall hold office for the term of four years.
SECTION 2. Such Commission shall serve without
compensa,tion.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
