This ordinance adds one (1) Class "F3" (Restaurant with Lounge) liquor license for
EDITH'S PLACE, 1064 Mount Prospect Plaza.

OLD BUSINESS
A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 (ANIMALS) OF
THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance amends Section 20.104, "Sale or Possession of Certain
Animals Prohibited", of Article I, General Provisions, of Chapter 20 by
limiting the number of dogs, cats or combination thereof per dwelling.

NEW BUSINESS
A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
(GYMNASTICS SCHOOL) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 520 BUSINESS
CENTER DRIVE.
This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit for a gymnastics school at
520 Business Center Drive. The Planning and Zoning Commission
recommended approval of the Conditional Use permit by a vote of 6-0.

B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO A DETERMINATION OF THE (Exhibit D)
PREVAILING WAGE RATES
This ordinance, required by the State of Illinois, adopts the prevailing wages
established by the State of Illinois for public works projects provided by
contractors.
C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1 (VILLAGE PRESIDENT) (Exhibit E)
OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This ordinance certifies that the Mayor Pro Tem also assumes the duties of the
Local Liquor Commissioner.
D. 1 sl reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19 (HEALTH REGULATIONS) (Exhibit F)
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance amends Section 19.202, "Regulations with Respect to Customers
of Solid Waste Collection Services," of Article II, Solid Waste Collection, of Chapter
19 of the Mount Prospect Village Code is hereby amended by inserting a new
Subsection C, "Exemption of Governmental Entities."
E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 8 (VILLAGE GOVERNMENT), (Exhibit G)
21 (BUILDING CODE), 23 (OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS) and APPENDIX A
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS REGARDING CRIME
FREE HOUSING AND ENFORCEMENT FEES.
This ordinance makes amendments to Chapters 8, 21, 23 and Appendix A to update
current Property Maintenance and Crime Free Housing codes to address operational
issues.

OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS,
ADOPTING THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, 2006 INTERNATIONAL
MECHANICAL CODE, 2004 ILLINOIS PLUMBING CODE, 2006 INTERNATIONAL
RESIDENTIAL CODE, 2005 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 2006 INTERNATIONAL
FUEL GAS CODE, 2006 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE, 2006
INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS.
This ordinance amends Chapter 21 by adopting the 2006 versions of the respective
International/National codes to reflect more current industry standards.
G. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 (FIRE PREVENTION) (Exhibit I)
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ADOPTING THE
2006 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE, WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS.
This ordinance amends Chapter 24 by adopting the 2006 version of the
International Fire Code to reflect more current industry standards.
H. * A RESOLUTION REQUESTING CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF CENTRAL (Exhibit J)
ROAD IN ORDER TO CONDUCT A PARADE.
This resolution authorizes the Village to request approval from IDOT to close
a portion of Central Road in order to conduct the annual 4th of July parade.
I. *Request Village Board to accept Public Improvements at Briarwood Business
Center (Road Improvements), Algonquin Road and Linneman Road. Improvements
to Algonquin Road and Linneman Road have been satisfactorily completed and
staff recommend approval of this project.
XII. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Request Village Board approval to accept revised Debt Service Policy that sets
parameters for issuing and managing debt and provides guidance to the Village
Board for future debt issues.
