RESOLUTION NO. 35-91
A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF
RALPH L. STADLER
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER, has been a resident of the Village of
Mount Prospect since 1965; and
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER has been an active member of Volunteer
Fire Departments since 1946; and
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER served with the Meadville Rescue Squad
from 1946 to 1953, where he held the rank of Lieutenant, and from
1953 to 1964 served with the Martin Marrietta Corporation
Industrial Fire Department, where he was instrumental in the
formation of the volunteer unit, being the first member of that
unit; and
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER has been a member of the Mount Prospect
Volunteer Fire Department since 1965, having served during many
emergency situations, attending weekly training sessions, and
serving as a back-up unit to the full time Fire Department when
emergency situations dictated; and
WHEREAS, during the 26 years of dedicated service to the Village
of Mount Prospect, RALPH L. STADLER was promoted to the rank of
CaptaiR and eventually Deputy Fire Chief of the Mount Prospect
Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER has served as a member of the Mount
Prospect Volunteer Fire Department with distinction and pride,
being a member of this volunteer group when the population of Mount
Prospect was less than 30,000 people and during the early years and
infancy of the regular full time Fire Department, when the
community was ever so reliant on volunteer firemen; and
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER, his wife and their four children have
made many sacrifices over the years, with their family time being
interrupted by the call to duty; and
WHEREAS, RALPH L. STADLER retired from the Mount Prospect Volunteer
Fire Department effective August 20, 1991.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect do hereby acknowledge the many contributions of
RALPH -L. STADLER for the 45 years of service as a Volunteer
Fireman, with the last 26 years as a member of the Mount Prospect
Volunteer Fire Department.
SECTION TWO: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect do hereby express their appreciation and best
wishes to RALPH L. STADLER upon his retirement.
SECTION THREE: That a copy of this Resolution be presented to
TADLER

RALPH L. STADLER, recognizing the 26 years of dedicated service to
the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
