AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES
AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES IN
CONNECTION WITH DELINQUENT.
WITHDRAWN AND FORFEITED
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS.

WHEREAS, the cost of collecting delinquent, withdrawn and
forfeited special assessments has increased considerably by making
I payments to the Village Collector; and
WHEREAS, Article 84-68 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes authorizes the collection of fees and charges for service
in that regard; now, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That fees and charges for services rendered in
connection with the payment of delinquent, withdrawn and forfeited
special assessments are hereby established as follows:
(a) For each new or duplicate bill to pay
delinquent special assessments................$O.25
(b) For each certificate of deposit for
payment of a withdrawn or forfeited
. special assessment............................$l.OO
Section 2. That the Treasurer-Collector is hereby authorized
and directed to collect the fees and charges set forth in Section
1 of this ordinance, and to deposit said amounts in the corporate
fund to help defray the cost and expense of the office of the
Treasurer-Collector.
Section 3. That the Treasurer-Collector shall endorse on eac
bill or certificate, as follows: "Service fee $

Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
