A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 1993-1994 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is entering its sixteenth year as an entitlement
community under the federal Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, in the past fifteen years the Village has used its Community Development Block Grant
entitlement to implement various projects to address the community development and housing needs of
its low- and moderate-income and elderly residents, to reduce and prevent the occurrence of deterioration
in the Central Area of the Village, to increase accessibility for the handicapped, and to address other
community needs in conformance with the objectives of the Community Development Block Grant
Program; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect allocated an $321,000.00 for fiscal year 1993, $4,057.00
reallocated funds in Fiscal Year 1992, and an additional $10.00 in Community Development Block Grant
funds for Fiscal Year 1991, and $34,710.62 in program income, all new allocations from the U. S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development and program income; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees has determined that these funds can continue to be
of benefit in providing for resident's health, safety and welfare and in meeting the community development
and housing needs of its citizens:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect hereby
approves the allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $325,067.00 and
program income funds in the amount of $34,710.62 all to the following projects for a total allocation of
$359,777.62:
Neighborhood Services Program $ 28,500.00
Suburban Primary Health Care 16,000.00
Elderly Services Program 4;000.00
Multi-Family Housing Rehabilitation 40,000.00
Residential Rehabilitation Loan Program 177,610.62
Public Building Accessibility 48,000.00
General Administration 45.667.00

SECTION TWO.' The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect hereby
author4zes the Village Manager to prepare and forward to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development a submission of Mount Prospect's "Final Statement of Community Development Objectives
and Projected Use of Funds" in accordance with federal guidelines.
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval in the manner provided by law.
