ORDINANCE NO. 322
AN ORDINANCE A1-1NEXING CERTAIN LANDS
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT

VmrnREAS, a petition was heretofore filed in the County
Court of Cook County, praying for the annexation to the Village of
Mount Prospect of the following described territory, to-wit:
The South ~vo Hundred Fifteen (215)
feet of the West Five Hundred Seventy-
Five and 43/100ths (575.43) feet of the
North West Quarter of the North East
Quarter of Se~tion 34, Township 42 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in CODk County, Illinois;
and
VffiEREAS, the County Court of Cook County, pursuant to
law, had a hearing on the said petition and entered an order
finding that said petition conformed to all the provisions of
the law with respect to annexing territory to cities, towns and
villages, and said order directed that the Question of annexing
said territory be submitted to the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
VmmREAS, a copy of said order of the County Court of
Cook County has been certified by the Clerk of the County Court
of Cook County to the Clerk of this Village; and
VmmEAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem it to
be to the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that
said territory be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Presi dent and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory, to-
wit:
The South Two Hundred Fifteen (215)
feet of the West Five Hundred Seventy-
Five and 43/100ths (575.43) feet of the
North West Quarter of the North East
Quarter of Beetion 34, Township 42 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, Illinois;

be and is hereby declared annexed to and a part of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 2. That the Village Engineer be and is hereby
directed to make the necessary changes on the Village Atlas to
show said territory as being within the corporate limits of the
Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION 3. That the President of this Village cause an
accurate map of said territory, together with a copy of this Or-
dinance, certified by the President, to be recorded with the
Recorder of needs of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and ef
fect thirty (30) days after its passage and approval unless a
referendum is requested in accordance with the provisions of an
Act entitled "An Act Concerning Cities, Villages and Incorporated
Towns, and to repeal Certain Acts herein named", approved August
15, 1941, effective January 1, 1942 and all Acts amendatory
thereof and supplementary thereto; in which event the effective-
ness of this Ordinance shall abide the result of such referendum.

PRESIDENTrs CERTIFICATE
I do hereby certify that I am the duly elected, quali-
fied arid acting President of the Village of Mount Prospect and
that the attached Ordinance is a true and correct copy of an
Ordinance passed by the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect on the I/~ day of April, 1950, and that said
Ordinance was passed by more than a two thirds vote of the said
Board of Trustees.
I do further certify that the attached map is an accu-
rate map of the territory described in said Ordinance.
I do further certify that the said Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect did not order a referendum to be
had on the question of the annexation of the territory describ-
ed in said Ordinance and that no petition was filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect within thirty
(30) days after the passage of said Ordinance requesting a re-
ferendum on the annexation of said territory.
