ORDINANCE No. 335 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 of AN ORDINANCE ENTITLEC "AN ORDINANCE TO LICENSE AND REGULATE CERTAIN BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS" CALLINGS AND EMPLOYMENTS AS EX- PRESSED HEREIN, AND TO PROVlDJ THE TERM, THE FEE Al\TJ) THE METHOD OF PROCURING AND ISSUING SUCH LICENSES" TOGETHER WITH THE CON- DITIONS UNDER WHICH SAME ARE ISSUED AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE". (Ordinance No. 151.) * * * * * * BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to license and regulate certain businesses, oc- cupations, callings and employments as expressed herein, and to provide the term, the fee and the method of procuring and issuing such licenses, together with the conditions under which same are issued, and fixing a penalty for violations of this Ordinance" (Ordinance No. 151), as Amended, be and the same is hereby further amended to read as follows: Section 2. All persons, firms or corporations conducting or engaging in any of the following businesses, occupations, callings or employments, are hereby required to obtain a license and pay in advance to the Village Clerk therefor, the amounts set opposite thereto, for the periods hereinaf- ter specified, to-wit, provided, however, that no person, firm or corporation aforesaid, except auctioneers, and owners and operators of public dance halls, theatres, mov- ing pictures or otherwise, and other shows and amusements, shall be required to pay an amount exceeding Ninety Dollars ($90.00) per year for its license or licenses hereunder. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the terms or provisions of this Ordinance, or who shall violate, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the foregoing provisions of this Ordinance, shall upon conviction, be fined in a sum not less than $3.00, nor more than f200.00 for each and every offense. -4- SECTION ~. All Ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take. effect on May 1st, 1951 and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law. PASSED: this 9th day of January, 1951.
