ALLEYS, IDEWALK .AND PUBLIC WAYs. * * * * * * ** * BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees . . of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: . SECTION 1. N~isances unlawful: It is hereby declared to be unlawful and a nuisanc~ for any person within the limits of the Village of Mount Prospect to violate any provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 2. Streets - Littering prohibited: No person, or persons shall place or cause to be placed upon any street or avenue in the Village of Mount Prospect, any glass, barb wire, nails, tacks, broken pieces of chinaware, or any other pointed or sharp material or instrument whatsoever that may cause a puncture or cut in the tire of any rubber-tired vehicle; Provided, however, that the placing of any broken stone, gravel or other material used for the improvement of the streets shall not be construed a violation of this ordinance. SECTION :3. Streets and siciewalks - Littering Prohibited, No person or persons shall permit or place, leave, throw or seatter waste paper, paper containers for food-stuffs, bills, post- ers, lithographs, advertising matter, refuse, sweepings, dirt, excavating material, or materials of like substance, in or upon the streets, sidewalks, alleys or public grounds of said Village of Mount Prospect. SECTION 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars nor more than Two Hundred Dollars for each offense.
