AN ORDINANCE relating
to traffic
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any operator of a
vehicle to disobey any official traffic sign or signal placed
in accordance with the provisions of this or any ordinances of
the Village, unless at the time otherwise directed by a police
officer.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any operator of a
,
vehicle to enter in, upon or across any street or intersection
hereinafter described without coming to a full and complete
stop:
All traffic on Milburn and Wapella Avenues shall
stop before entering in, across or upon the inter-
section of said streets;
All traffic on Prospect Manor Avenue shall stop
before entering in, upon or across Isabella Street;
All traffic on Isabella Street shall stop before
entering in, upon or across Eastwood Avenue;
All traffic on Hi Lusi Avenue shall stop before
entering in, upon or across Lincoln Avenue.
Section 3. The chief of police is hereby directed to
cause to be erected appropriate official traffic signs at the
above described streets and avenues.
section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation who violates
any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall upon conviction
thereof, be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than $100.00
for each such offense.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after .its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
