HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 430 02/15/1955 Ordinance NO.~~" AN ORDINANCE annexing certain lands to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by THEODORE C. MOEHLING and ALICE M. MOEHLING, husband and wife, being the sole owners of record of the hereinafter described land and territory, requesting the annexation of said tract of land and territory to the Village of Mount prospect; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the cor- porate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is unhabited and has no electors residing therein; and WHEREAS, said petition states that no electors reside therein, is under oath and in all respects complies with the requirements of the statute in such case made and provided; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village have examined said petition and have considered the question of the annexation of the territory described in said petition and believe it to be to the best interests of the municipality that such territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT A~ID BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the allegations contained in the petition are true. Section 2. That the lands and territory described, to-wit: That part of the South t of the Southwest ~ of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, Except the West 200 feet thereof, lying North of the center of Weller Creek Drainage Ditch and West of the center line extended South, of Block 6 in prospect park Subdivision No.1, being a Subdivision of the West t of the North 60 rods of said Southwest ~ in Cook county, Illinois. which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is not embraced therein, is uninhabited, contains no electors residing therein, and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount prospect, so that here- after said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 3. The Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of said annexed territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of cook county, Illinois. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law. PASSED: APPROVED: this /% day .of r[jr<< ~'I ,1955. . / this L~ .
