HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 432 03/15/1955 ORDINANCE NO. 4-}V AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS, POLLING PLACES AND APPOINTING JUDGES AND CLERKS FOR THE REGULAR ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 19, 1955. /l WHEREAS, a general election is to be held in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 19, 1955 for the purpose of electing the following officers: Three (3) Trustees for the full term One (1) Trustee to fill vacancy for a two year term Two (2) Library Directors NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED By the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1. That for the general election to be held in the Village of Mount Prospect on Tuesday, April 19, 1955, the following election districts and polling places therefor are hereby established as follows: PRECINCT 1. All the part of the Village of Mount Prospect lying Norther- ly of the center line of North- west Highway, and Northerly of center line of Central Road West of Northwest Highway Polling Place: Village Hall, 112 E. Northwest Highway, Mount Prospeot, Ill. All that part of the Village of Mount Prospect lying Southerly of the center line of Northwest Highway, and Southerly of the center line of Central Road West of the Northwest Highway PRECINC T 2. Polling Place: Chicago & Northwestern Railway Depot, Northwest Highway between Emmerson and Main Streets Mount Prospect, Ill. SECTION 2. That the following be and they are hereby designated and appointed to acts as Judges and Clerks at said election: PRECINCT 1. That the Village Clerk be and he is hereby directed to give notice of said election, cause ballots to be printed, and conduct said election in manner and form as provided by law. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effeot from and after its passage and approval according to law.
