HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 437 04/19/1955 ORDINANCE NO. 4-,3 7 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE. ********** WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount prospect at a public meeting duly called and held according to law considered the application of the Public Service Co. of Northern Illinois for a variation in use of real estate hereinafter described located in the R-l Residence district; which said application for variation consists of the installation and operation of an electrical distribution center to better provide for the needs of the residents of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees having considered the recommendation of the said Zoning Commission to grant a variation, find and believe that the public interest will be best subserved by the granting of such variation; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by The president and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook county, Illinois: SECTION 1. That a variation from the provisions of an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and regulating and determining the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and sur- rounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for the said purposes; and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions", passed and approved December 4, 1923, known as Ordinance No. 52, as amended" be and the same is hereby granted to the Public service co. of Northern Illinois to permit the installation and operation of an electric distribution center on the real estate located in the R-l Residence District described as follows: Lots 32,33 and 34 in Block 1 in Rand View Highlands Subdivision in cook county, Illinois. SECTION 2. That the said real estate shall be subject to all limitations and conditions placed upon properties known as non-conforming uses as defined in Section 10 of said ordinance heretofore mentioned. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. PASSED: this 19th day of April, 1955.
