AN ORDINANCE annexing certain
lands to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Illinois.
_ WHEREAS, a written petitlon has been filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by ELMER F.
GLEICH and ELLEN M. GLEICH h:~s wife being the sole owners
of record of the hereinafter described land and territory,
requesting the annexation of said tract of land and territory
to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the
corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to
the Village of Mount prospect, is unhabited and has no
electors residing therein; and
WHEREAS} said petition states that no electors reside
therein is under oath and in all respects complies with the
requirements of the statute in such case made and provided;
and
WHEREAS} the President and Board of Trustees of this
Village have examined said petition and have considered the
question of the annexation of the territory described in said
petition and believe it to be to the best interests of the
municipality that such territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the allegations contained in the
petition are true.
Section 2. That the lands and territory described, to-wit:
That part of Lots 3 and 4 in oehlerkings division
of land in the South East Quarter (SEt) of Section
l2J Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd
Principal Meridian lying South of the North line
of the South Half of the South East Quarter
of Sect~on 12, being all of Blocks 5,6,7 and
8 together with Streets adjoining said
Blocks 5,6,7, and 8 in Pleasant Heights,
Mount Prospect, being a Subdivision of Lots
3 and 4 in Oehlerkings division of land in the
South East Quarter of section 12, Township 41
North, Range 11 East of the 3rd Principal Meridian
in Cook county, Illinois
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect,
is not embraced therein, is uninhabited, contains no electors
residing therein, and is unincorporated, be and the same is
hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that here-
after said territory shall be included within the boundary
lines and limits of said Village as is by law in such case
made and provided.
Sect~on 3. The Village Clerk of this Village is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance, together
with an accurate map of said annexed territory, with the Re-
corder of Deeds of Cook county, Illinois
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, according
to law.
