Ordinance No. "/16 /
AN ORDINANCE annexing certain
lands to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory containing
less than 60 acres is wholly bounded by the corporate limits
of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have agreed that
said territory be incorporated within the boundaries of the
Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the president and Board of Trustees of this
Village agree with the owners of said land that it would be
for the best interests of such owners and the municipality
that said territory be annexed thereto;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the land and territory described to-wit:
The East 93 feet of the west 126 feet (as
measured along the North and South lines of
the described tract) excepting the North 33
feet thereof, of that part of the S. ~ of
the S.W. k of section 12, Township 41 North,
Range 11 East of the 3rd principal Meridian
lying East of the center line 0 extended
South, of Emerson Street in Prospect High-
lands, Recorded as Document No. 9253930,
April 26, 1926 in Book 226 of plats, page 80
in the Recorder1s Office of Cook county,
Illinois and North of a line drawn from a point
on the center line of said Emerson Street ex-
tended which is 249.21 feet south of the North-
west corner to a point on the East line of said
described tract which is 250.86 feet South of
the Northeast corner thereof
which territory is wholly bounded by the corporate limits of
the Village of Mount Prospect be and the same is hereby annexed
to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said
territory shall be included within the boundary lines and

limits of said Village as is by law in such case made and
provided.
section 3. The Village Clerk of this Village is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance, together
with an accurate map of said annexed territory, with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook county, Illinois.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, according
to law.
