Ordinance No. ~1~
AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion
of Hiawatha Trail (formerly known
as Hi-Lusi) in the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect after due investigati0n and con-
sideration of the petition of the owners abutting the street
sought to be vacated have determined that the nature and
extent of the public use and the public interest to be sub-
served is such as to warrant the vacation of part of a public
street and described in this ordinance;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That that partof street known as Hiawatha
Trail {l'Ormerly known as Hi-Lusi Avenue) lying between
Blocks 6 and 7 and between Blocks 5 and 8m-pleasant Heights,
Mount prospect, being a subdivision of Lots 3 and 4 in oehlerking1s
division of land infue Southeast quarter of section 12,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian together with that part of streets lying outside of
curved line at corners of said blocks 6 and 7 lying East of
the East line of William Street, North of the North line of
Hiawatha Trail, South of the South line of Hiawatha Trail
and West of the West line of Louis Street and that part of
streets lying outside of curved line at corners of said
blocks 5 and 8 lying East of the East line of Louis Street,
North of the North line of Hiawatha Trail, South of the South
line of Hiawatha Trail and West of the West line of Edwar~
Street, as colored in red and indicated by the words "HEREBY
VACATED" on the plat hereto attached, which _plat for greater
certainty is hereby made a part of this ordinance be and the
same is hereby vacated and closed, is no longer required for
public use and the public interest will be subserved by such
vacation.
SECTION 2. That the Village Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance and said
plat in the office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook county,
Illinois.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full forre
and eft'ect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
