HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 473 01/17/1956 - I ... < :.. Ordinance No. 473 AN ORDINANCE vacating a part of S. Louis Street, E. Lincoln Avenue and part of alley in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois. WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect after due investigation and consideration of the petition of the owners abutting the streets and alleys sought to be vacated have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interest to be subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of parts of public streets and alleys and described in this ordinance; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, lLLINOlS: Section 1. That that part of Public street Known as S. Louis Street lying between the North Line of E. Sha..Bonee Trail and the Southwesterly line of Prospect Avenue, that part of E.Lincoln Avenue lying between the East line of S. William Street and the Southwesterly line of Prospect Avenue, that part of public alley lying south and south- westerly of Lots 1 to 8, inclusive and Northeasterly of Lots 9 and 17, in Block 1, between the West line of S. Edward Street and the East line of S. Louis Street and that part of public alley lying South and South- westerly of Lots 1 to 11, inclusive and Northeasterly of Lots 12 and 26 in Block 2, between the West line of S. Louis Street and the East line of S. William Street, all in Pleasant Heights, Mount Prospect, being a subdivision of Lots 3 and 4 in Oehlerking's Division of land in the S.E. 1/4 of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, as colored in red and indicated by the words IlHEREBY VACATED" on the plat hereto attached, whic~ plat for greater certainty is hereby made a part of this ordinance be and the same is hereby vacated and closed, is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation. Section 2. That the Village Clerk be and he is hereby directed to record and file a certified copy of this ordinance and said plat in the office of the Recorder of Cook County, lllinois. Section 3.
