RESOLUTION NO. 38-93
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION BE SUBMll-I'ED TO
THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE FOR SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
PROGRAM {STP) FUNDING RELATIVE TO THE LINNEMAN ROAD IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, the Northwest Municipal Conference is a corporate organization
representing municipalities and townships chartered with the State of Illinois and the
County of Cook; and
WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 10, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, 5 ILCS
220/3.1 through 220/8 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, authorize and encourage
intergovernmental association and cooperation; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Municipal Conference has developed a multi-year Surface
Transportation Program list for roadway improvements utilizing the Surface
Transportation Program; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is desirous of completing the Linneman
Road Improvement project from Dempster Street to Golf Road and submitting a
Surface Transportation Program Funding application to the Northwest Municipal
Conference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect do hereby authorize and direct a Surface Transportation Program Funding
application be submitted to the Northwest Municipal Conference for the Linneman
Road Improvement project between Dempster Street and Golf Road.
SECTION TWO: That a certified copy of the Resolution be forwarded to the
Northwest Municipal Conference.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
