HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 495 05/15/1956 . . ~.......-.~--~-.4.~.- Ordinance No. 4-'15' AN ORDINANCE annexing certain lands to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by the Chicago Title and Trust Company as Trustee under Trust Nos. 38340, 38341, 38342 and 38343 and not personally, being the sole owner of record of the hereinafter described land and territory, requesting the annexation of said tract of land and territory to the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, said land and 1;'erritory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is unhabited and has no electors residing therein; and WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects com- plie s with the requirements of the Statute in such case made and pro- vided; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village have examined said petition and have considered the question of the annexation of the territory described in said petition and believe it to be to the best interests of the municipality that such territory be annexed thereto; Now, Therefore: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the lands and territory described to-wit: That part of the West 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the North East 1/4 of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying North of the Center line of Golf Road, in Cook County, Illinois " which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is not embraced therein, is uninhabited, contains no electors residing therein, and is unincorporated, be and the same ishereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. The Village Clerk o,f this Village is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of said annexed territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
